Can you prime drywall after it has been painted?

the wall has been painted once, but wasn't primed. What can i do?Can you prime drywall after it has been painted?
The first painting constituted priming: prime means first. So just put on another coat of paint. Can you prime drywall after it has been painted?
Prime and then Paint. Hope I helped!
If it's interior don't worry about it. the paper over drywall is very absorbent when first painted by anything.
Yes it is possible to prime drywall after it has been painted over. Make sure to get one of the best primers on the market. Kilz comes in a variety of options, so just read to see if your is for painting over drywall. The folks at Lowe's or Home Depot can help. If you are purchaseing from a regular paint store, they will probably carry Kilz as well.

If the walls are painted with oil you may need to use a block or pole sander to help give them a tooth to hold the primer/paint.

Good Luck.
yes if changing colors prime
why not?
I'm not a pro, but I expect the first paint job was just soaked into the drywall. If it hasn't been damaged, go ahead and prime it. I always prime before I paint any walls. It helps the color cover better...
