Any good ideas for cleaning hardwood floors? latex paint/drywall mud?

IM sorry to say this but you could have saved alot of time by putting down plastic or a old sheet on the floor before doing all that MESSAny good ideas for cleaning hardwood floors? latex paint/drywall mud?
plain water will take those things up but don't saturate the wood with water. when you are done lightly mop the floor with Murphy's oil soap and water and let dry.Any good ideas for cleaning hardwood floors? latex paint/drywall mud?
George is correct that water will remove the drywall mud, but not dried latex paint. I use a 5 in 1 tool (you can get at any DIY store) to lighlty scrape off, then sand and refinish.
I agree that water will remove the drywall mud. If the latex paint is just splatters, that is not a lot of coverage there is a product called Goof Off tha will soften it so it can be wiped up.
Soap and water,a little gentle scraping--put a rag on the scraper for big clumps-- and a scroungy pad will take care of the ';mud';.As far as the paint goes try saturating a scrounge pad with alcohol(denatured or rubbing';.The alcohol will take up the dried paint and and is easier on the floor and your sinuses than goof off, plus you wont have to scrape if you use the scrounge pad.
