How to get paint off drywall?

When my mom and her friend painted my room, the layed down white, then added other colors. But they added them by putting their fingers in the paint bucket and flicking it at the walls. So my walls are all bumpy and un-smooth. I'm re-painting my walls and it's taking forever to get the old paint off by scraping and sanding. Is there any other way to get it off?How to get paint off drywall?

You are probably going to do a lot of damage to the drywall by scraping paint off it, which will give you a different big problem. There really is no way to get paint off drywall without damaging the drywall. You best bet is to forget about having a smooth wall and put on a texture you like which you could then paint any colour you like. Go to the building supply store and see what they can suggest. There are all kinds of amazing things you could do. You could also put wallpaper over it.
Hmmm odd way of painting...I would just get a box of mud and two different size drywall blade and re texture the way you want...The person who sprayed our walls with mud did it an odd way and i hated it, so i have gone room to room redoing it myself. Its really ease to do.
Sponge paint in similar colors. It will give you a delightful wallpapered look.
Sand it down first. Clean and then repaint.
