New drywall , how to remove paint?

I have finished a drywall, primed and applied first coat of paint. Now I see that my joints are visible thru the paint. I may not have sanded properly, I want to fix this by removing the paint. Is there an easy to strip latex paint from a drywall?

Thanks

Yes, the drywall mud will adhere to the paint. You probably do not need to do any sanding prior to applying more mud. After you have gone over all the offending joints and have sanded any rough spots, take a fairly bright light and shine it obliquely across the finished drywall before repainting. The light will absolutely show you any spots that need additional filling. Drywall contractor since 1960.New drywall , how to remove paint?
You don't take paint off drywall, it will remove the protective paper over the gypsum. Simply apply more mud to the joint, let it dry and feather the edges to smooth the appearance. The slight differrence probably won't be visible to the eye.
Jay, There's NO way to remove latex paint from drywall. It's absorbed by the paper covering. What you need to do is resand, apply more mud, resand, etc., till you get it right, then repaint over the top of the whole thing. If you do it right no one will ever know.
Just rework the joints with new mud I recommend the normal joint compound and not the light weight because to me it seems to shine under the paint. a light skim coat is probably all you'll need to do. then just repaint the room.
just sand the surface enough to remove the sheen or gloss. do the repairs and repaint
