How do you paint a wall that is just drywall and has not been painted before?

You need to get a drywall priming compound..assuming the drywall has already been taped and textured.How do you paint a wall that is just drywall and has not been painted before?

if you already taped compounded and sanded. you can put on primer and then paint or just paint.
